A TYPICAL DAY WITH MOK
8.00am: Meet and greet of extended children. Settle them down with games, lego, junk box modelling and a craft table to create whatever they wish
8.30am: Gather children for their breakfast if they need feeding. Cereals, fresh juice and toast provided.
9.30am: Our full day children arrive and as a group we gather together to talk about the day, health and safety and rules.
9.40am: If we are out in the morning, get our suitable clothing for the activities. If the weather is cold, we get a quick hunting game going to get them warmed up.
9.45am: Using our eyes and ears, we may be discovering the nature around us. Maybe creating a den to hide in, using forest school equipment to light a fire, making magic potions, looking for mini bugs...the list goes on.
11.00am: Break for snack of drinks, fruit and biscuits. Free play whilst everyone finishes.
11.20am: Resume more Forest School activities
1.00pm: Either gathering around the campfire for hot dogs and smores or enjoy a sandwich buffet. Both served with fresh vegetables, crisps, cheese chunks, squash and a sweet treat.
1.45pm: In doors for Arts and Crafts. 3 activities are placed around the room to try in turn. For example using air drying clay, making slime, painting, creating awesome sculptures and decorating cakes. Crafts are changed to the different themes of the day.
3.20pm: Break for snack and drinks.
3.50pm: Clear the decks to make lots of room for team games. These are led by us and using our MOKeteers for extra assistance.
5.00pm: Our Full time children leave us....nice and tired and lots of things to take home.
5.30pm: Craft box and games continue until our extended children are picked up.
6.00pm. Leaders either leave and re-cooperate after their session.....or get ready for tomorrows fun!
Trips: We use everything on offer (parts exclusively) at our chosen venue. The day is mixed with all of the above but mostly outdoors.
